Transformational Love and Learning Academy
ACADEMICS
Some of the curriculum we use is teacher made, but we also use programs like Raz-Kids and Reading A-Z, and basic beginning reading proven strategies and curriculum that uses decodable books and vocabulary development.
For Math we use various math materials, textbooks and workbooks from Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and various online interactive math programs that is suited to students needs.

Common Core Curriculum and Innovative Curriculum Design
What makes Transformational Love and Learning Academy unique is that we tailor our curriculum to each student to work on the challenges and continue working on the strengths.
We teach to the different learning styles recognizing kinesthetic, auditory and visual learners and what works best for them.
We work with high functioning students that have exceptional needs in the area of PDD-NOS, High Functioning ADHD, Specific Learning Disability, Executive functioning Deficits, and Speech and Language delay. We use a variety of resources to be able to accommodate and modify instruction to ensure success for our learners.
We use differentiated, hands on instruction and are very innovative in how we deliver curriculum. We use textbooks aligned with the common core standards, materials where students relate real life experiences with academics to make it more real for the students and see education in action.
